Welcome to Fireweed Wellness!

Care here is deeply patient-centered and focused on supporting your whole being.

All appointments including acupuncture are strictly one-on-one. This means you always receive my dedicated, uninterrupted attention and a focused, private space to heal.

Openings are released 3 weeks in advance on a rolling basis. If you cannot find a time that fits, please add yourself to the waitlist.

I will be out of office between September 16th - 26th, and October 21st - November 16th.

Clinic Location & Arrival

  • Where: Ground level, under Mint Day Spa in the Old School building (616 3rd St W).
  • Directions: Walk around the left side of the main exterior stairs. Come through the ground door; the clinic is immediately on your left.
  • Parking: Ample parking is available in the lots on either side of the building, or on the street.
  • Arrival: Please make yourself at home in the waiting area. I will greet you at your scheduled time. A restroom is at the end of the hallway.

Accessibility: Entry requires walking down six stairs. If this is a barrier to your care, please reach out directly to arrange mobile treatment options.

Cultivating a Respectful Space

  • 24-Hour Notice: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel.
  • Why It Matters: Late changes leave empty gaps that another patient could have used. By booking, you agree to these terms.
  • Fees: Cancellations under 24 hours charge the card on file 50% of the fee. No-shows without notice charge 100%.

Mackenzie Wade
(She/Her/Hers) RMT, R.Ac

Hello! I’m Mackenzie Wade (she/her), a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in British Columbia, offering acupuncture, massage therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, and craniosacral therapy. I see one patient at a time, always, so every session gets my complete and undivided attention.

I run a generalized acupuncture practice and am happy to treat a wide range of needs, with nervous system regulation at the heart of my approach. My practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and includes acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, electroacupuncture, and Chinese dietary therapy. My approach is trauma-informed, patient-centred, and focused on pain reduction and whole-body wellness.

My RMT services, including therapeutic massage, Vodder-style manual lymphatic drainage, and Upledger craniosacral therapy, are offered as separate appointment types in accordance with provincial regulations. Acupuncture and massage therapy are not combined in the same session.

I completed my massage therapy training at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and my Acupuncture and Moxibustion diploma at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine. In 2025, I completed a clinical internship at the Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine in Xianyang, China.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy bikepacking, mountain biking, skiing, hockey, studying Mandarin, and exploring the mountains with my rescue dog, Briggs.
