Welcome to Fireweed Wellness!

I offer a variety of acupuncture and massage therapy treatments. As a dual-licensed therapist, I uphold the standards and guidelines set by my regulatory colleges. Acupuncture services are provided exclusively under my acupuncture license, while massage therapy services, including manual lymphatic drainage and craniosacral therapy, are provided exclusively under my RMT license.

All appointments are one-on-one, and I never overlap time slots, so you always receive my dedicated, uninterrupted care. If you can’t find a time that fits your schedule, please use the waitlist. I try my best to accommodate appointment requests whenever possible.

The clinic is located underneath Mint Day Spa in the Old School building and I will be working alongside Dr. Kate Coulthard of Kinetic Chiropractic. There is ample parking in the lots on either side of the building, or on the street. No need to go up the main stairs. You can find us by walking around the left side of the main staircase. Come through the door and the clinic is on the left. Please take a seat in the waiting area and I’ll come get you at your scheduled appointment time. There’s a bathroom at the end of the hallway if you need it. Please make yourself at home!

Unfortunately, the new space is not accessible, as there are six stairs down into the entryway. If this is a barrier to care, please reach out directly to discuss mobile treatment options.

Mackenzie Wade
(She/Her/Hers) RMT, R.Ac

Mackenzie Wade (she/her) is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in British Columbia, offering a wide range of TCM and manual therapy services. Mackenzie sees one patient at a time, always, so every session receives her complete and undivided attention.

Her acupuncture practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and includes acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, electroacupuncture, and Chinese dietary therapy. Her approach is trauma-informed, patient-centred, and focused on nervous system regulation, pain reduction, and whole-body wellness.

RMT services, including therapeutic massage, Vodder-style manual lymphatic drainage, and Upledger craniosacral therapy, are offered as separate appointment types in accordance with provincial regulations. Acupuncture and massage therapy are not combined in the same session.

Mackenzie completed her massage therapy training at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and her Acupuncture and Moxibustion diploma at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine. In 2025, she completed a clinical internship at the Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine in Xianyang, China.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys mountain biking, ski touring, trail running, hockey, studying Mandarin, and exploring the mountains with her rescue dog, Briggs.
